Hunger is NOT a game, its in the genes.

The (science) Hunger games.

MiceInteresting research presented in this month’s Nature metabolism section: Hunger marks offsprings genome by Jiménez-Chillarón et. al. on underfed pregnant mice and how it affects the male offspring’s litter (think: grandchildren) in health risk of metabolic diseases such as diabetes. This may be an indication on the importance of pre-, peri-natal care of the expectant mother and its affects on the development for both genotype– all or part of the genetic constitution of an individual or group- and phenotype -the observable properties of an organism that are produced by the interaction of the genotype and the environment.
